Technology and Magic

Professor Jack Cohen will be this year’s speaker at the Leeds Institute of Genetics, Health and Therapeutics Christmas Lecture, to be held on 5 December 2011.

The lecture will look at how science and technology are interwoven with magic, depending on who you are and what you do.  Professor Cohen, honorary Professor at the University of Warwick's Mathematics Institute, takes a look at how what is science to one might be magic to another, and suggests that science is the most potent magic of all.

The lecture will take place:

On: 5 December 2011

At:  3.30pm to 5pm

In:  Level 7 Worsley Building Café for refreshments, then on to the Dental Lecture Theatre (6.142) for the talk

The lecture is free to attend and no reservation is required.

Drinks and snacks are available in the theatre from 3.30pm and the talk starts at 4pm.
