Organisational change and employment security
The following documents have been agreed with UCU as part of the resolution of the dispute. Some are still labelled 'draft' because they require negotiation with UNISON and Unite.
Dispute agreement
This is the overarching agreement to resolve the dispute between the University and UCU.

Agreement on Employment Security and Redundancy Avoidance
This, the overarching and parent policy promotes employment security for staff and avoiding, wherever possible, compulsory redundancies -
Organisational Change Policy
This is a framework for promoting collegiality and full consultation with the trades unions and sets out the five phases of organisational change - identification of a need for a review, a review, restructuring, post restructuring review and as a last resort, the establishment of a redundancy committee. -
Employment Security Review Group (ESRG)
This will ensure meaningful consultation with the trades unions and provide opportunities for discussion at an early stage on academic and financial issues, problems and challenges which might affect job security and the coordination of organisational reviews. -

This sets out the framework for redeployment. -
Dispute resolution procedure
This describes the dispute resolution process for the Employment Security Review Group. -
Security of Employment of Staff on Fixed Funding
This is the policy for security of employment for staff on fixed term funding. -
Academic freedom and collegiality
This proposes the characteristics of academic freedom and collegiality and will require approval by the Senate and the Council. -
FBS agreement
This sets out what the University and UCU have agreed about extending the post-restructuring review in the Faculty of Biological Sciences to January 2011.
