Dean of the Faculty of Arts
Professor of German Frank Finlay has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Arts with effect from 1st August 2009 for a five year period.
Currently Director of Research in the Department of German, Professor Finlay, who is also a member of Council, has previously served as Head of the School of Modern Languages and Cultures. He is President of the subject association for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland, the AGS, and was a member of the German sub-panel in RAE 2008.
