Chaplaincy trustee

The Universities Chaplaincy in Leeds Trust oversees the operation of the ecumenical Christian Chaplaincy Team at the University of Leeds.

In partnership with the University, the Chaplaincy provides pastoral care to students and staff and addresses issues of spirituality, ethics and community building, liaising closely with other faith groups, the Student Support Network and the Students' Union. The Trust reviews the service provision and the terms of the Service Level Agreement with the University and determines the strategic direction of the Chaplaincy. A vacancy on the Trust Board exists for a member of staff of the University of Leeds, providing an opportunity for any interested party to influence and contribute to the work of the team. The Board holds ca 4 meetings per year.

Any member of staff interested in this role can discuss the opportunity with Professor Stephen Scott (Pro-Vice-Chancellor and member of the Trust: ext 36002) or Rev Matt Ward (nominated lead Chaplain: ext 35070). Closing date for expressions of interest is 12th March 2010.
