The Guardian university league table

Leeds has dropped from 28 to 35 in the Guardian university league table published today (8 June).

The aim of the tables is to provide help for first-time students. This means they concentrate on teaching and not on the research ratings, which count heavily in other league tables.

This year they have given greater weighting to the results of the National Student Survey and introduced a new measure of overall satisfaction by students with their course.
