Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshops

Book your place at the next Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshop. In this series of online sessions, colleagues from across the University share innovative and interesting ways they’ve used PebblePad. Bookings for the following workshop on 22 February are also available and recordings of previous sessions are available. 

Academic Personal Tutoring (APT) discussion group  
4-5pm, 18 January

Sign up to join a focussed APT discussion group for colleagues interested in the development of APT at Leeds. In this online session, the discussion will be around the theme of whole institution approaches to APT.

Springboard development programme  

Applications are now open until 9 February for the next Springboard Development Programme, running from February to May. It’s designed specifically for the personal and professional development of women in grade 2-5 roles, and covers topics including improving self-confidence, being more proactive, effective communication and assertiveness.  

Concordat Awareness Month 

Sign up for a series of events in February to mark the Concordat Awareness Month, hosted by Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL). Virtual sessions highlight opportunities to support the development of researchers, and include information sessions, presentations and Q&As. As a signatory of The Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, the University is committed to supporting the career progression of our research colleagues. 

Development sessions for mentors 

OD&PL is launching a series of lunch and learn sessions to support mentor development. They feature speakers from across the University sharing their learning and experience of being a mentor. Topics covered include overcoming self-doubt, navigating modern careers, reverse mentoring and mediation. The online events are available to all mentors – you don’t need to be part of the University-wide Mentoring Scheme to sign up.  

Leading in Student Education Development  

Sign up for a series of workshops exploring leadership in student education for colleagues working in leadership roles within this area. The next workshops run in February, with sessions built around three themes: understanding your role within the wider landscape, influencing others and building consensus, and creating presence and authenticity in your leadership.
