See what the most popular LinkedIn Learning courses of 2023 were amongst staff and students at Leeds. If you haven’t accessed your free University account before, find out how to get the most out of LinkedIn Learning in this handy staff guide from Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL). You can also sign up for their beginner’s guide to LinkedIn Learning session, next running on 22 February.    

BOOST programme | Career development for researchers  

Why not sign up for a New Year BOOST with OD&PL’s programme of events supporting career development for researchers. The BOOST programme covers a broad range of topics to equip you with the skills and confidence needed to manage your career. Coming up during the next couple of months are sessions on narrative CVs, negotiating a job offer, dealing with imposter mindset and more.   

Management Essentials sessions     

Sign up for OD&PL’s Management Essentials sessions, designed for new and existing managers. Sessions equip you with the tools needed to effectively manage a team, as well as understand the processes and responsibilities you have at the University. Sessions include an introduction to management essentials, health and safety, SRDS training, supporting excellence, health and wellbeing, recruitment and difficult conversations.  

Development drop-in sessions (Grades 2-5)     

Monthly OD&PL drop-in sessions for colleagues in Grade 2-5 roles will be temporarily relocated to the Esther Simpson building from January to March. Sessions, usually held in the LOGIK Centre, run every fourth Tuesday of the month from 10am to 12 noon. There’s no need to book and all colleagues are welcome, including those who support colleagues in these roles.   

Exploring academic personal tutoring (APT) at Leeds  
2-3.15pm, today (10 January) 

Sign up for the OD&PL workshop ‘exploring academic personal tutoring’. This session is designed for all APTs, providing an introduction for those new to the role and a refresher for experienced colleagues. 

Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshops      
11-11.30am, 18 January   

Book your place at the next Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshop. In this series of online sessions, colleagues from across the University share innovative and interesting ways they’ve used PebblePad. Bookings for the following workshop on 22 February are also available and recordings of previous sessions are available.
