Listen to the conversation between Fiona McClement, Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and Dr Kendi Guantai, Dean of EDI and Associate Professor, about Leeds’ EDI Implementation Plan.
The University’s EDI Implementation Plan, published in October, sets out how the University will achieve the ambitious targets of the EDI strategy, planned actions and why these are the University’s EDI priorities for the next two years.
In the video, Kendi says: “The good thing about having a plan is that we have the action piece that actually supports our strategy… It tells us what impact we are going to have.”
Fiona adds: “The KPIs [Key Performance Indicators] give us a guide in terms of what we should all be working towards… They mean we can monitor and track progress. We can give faculties and services the tools to help them meet these KPIs.”
