Professional Recognition in Student Education (PRiSE) 

Through PRiSE, colleagues can get professional recognition for their contributions to student education. You can apply for Associate Fellowship, Fellowship or Senior Fellowship and the next submission deadline is in January. Attend a PRiSE introduction session to find out more.  

Inclusive Learning and Teaching workshop 
16 November 

Sign up for a workshop exploring inclusive learning and teaching. Facilitated by Jenny Brady and Steve Gleadall, it looks at how inclusive pedagogies can be applied to everyday scenarios and explores the concept of the hidden curriculum.  

Recording and applications | Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) 

Watch the recording of a recent PGCAP information event ahead of the deadline of 5pm on 20 November to join the February PGCAP cohort. The PGCAP is designed to enhance academic practice, connect with peers and challenge thinking. It’s also one route available to gain Advance HE (AHE) Fellowship. 

Policy Engagement Kickstart programme  

Book your place on the in-person autumn Policy Engagement Kickstart programme on 7 November, 21 November and 5 December. Aimed at researchers and research support staff, it provides the knowledge and skills to engage with policy makers. You can also register for the winter Policy Engagement Kickstart programme, which runs online from February 2024. 

Career Development Programme (Grades 2-5)  

Applications are open for organisational development and professional learning’s (OD&PL) career development programme for staff in grade two to five roles. The programme starts again in the new year. You can explore effective CVs and job applications, interview skills and more. Hear from previous learners from the programme in OD&PL’s “In conversation with...” series.  

Workshop | Pedagogical Power of PebblePad

Book your place at the next Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshop. These events share innovative and interesting ways colleagues have used PebblePad. The next event on Teams features two presentation on how workbooks have been used in annual academic meetings and as a space for authentic reflection in reverse mentoring.   

Building authentic tutor/tutee relationships 
11am to 12 noon, 23 November   

This online session for new and experienced academic personal tutors looks at how to build authentic tutor/tutee relationships.
