Policy Engagement Kickstart programme 

Book your place on the autumn Policy Engagement Kickstart programme, taking place in person on 7 November, 21 November and 5 December. Aimed at researchers and research support staff, it provides the knowledge and skills to engage with policy makers. You can also register for the winter Policy Engagement Kickstart programme, which runs online from February 2024. 

Building Impact Momentum Programme   

Register your interest in the next Building Impact Momentum Programme, which will help develop concrete ideas for impact that can be applied to research projects or grant applications. Running from December to March, the programme is open to research, academic and professional support staff. It consists of six webinars, additional reading, partner work and impact practice. Closing date for expressions of interest is 3 November. 

Leading in Student Education Development Programme

A programme of development exploring leadership in student education has been launched for colleagues working in this area. The course is built around three themes – understanding your role within the wider landscape, influencing others and building consensus, and creating presence and authenticity in your leadership.  

Recording and applications | Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP)

Watch the recording of a recent PGCAP information event ahead of the deadline of 5pm on 20 November to join the February PGCAP cohort. The PGCAP is designed for colleagues involved in student education to enhance academic practice, connect with peers and challenge thinking. It’s also one route available to gain Advance HE (AHE) Fellowship.

Inclusive Learning and Teaching Workshop
16 November

Sign up for a workshop exploring inclusive learning and teaching for colleagues working in student education delivery roles. Facilitated by Jenny Brady and Steve Gleadall, it will look at how principles of inclusive pedagogies can be applied to everyday scenarios and explore the concept of the hidden curriculum.
