Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshop     

Book your place at the next Pedagogical Power of PebblePad workshop, taking place from 11-11.30am on 21 September on Microsoft Teams. The workshop will feature two presentations of how PebblePad is being used to support student placements. There are five workshops in total running from September to February. Recordings of previous workshops in this series are also available to watch.  

Springboard Development Programme  
September – December  

Sign up for the next cohort of the Springboard Development Programme, running from September to December. It’s designed for the personal and professional development of women in grade 2-4 roles, and covers topics including improving self-confidence, being more proactive, goal setting, identifying your values, networking, effective communication and assertiveness.   

Development drop-in session (Grades 2-5) and Macmillan Coffee Morning 
10am to 12 noon, 26 September 

Attend the next drop-in session at the LOGIK Centre to find out more about personal and professional development for colleagues in roles graded two to five and for the Macmillan Coffee Morning. There’s no need to book for the event and all colleagues are welcome – including those who support colleagues in roles graded two to five.  

Professional Recognition in Student Education (PRiSE)  

The PRiSE scheme supports colleagues to achieve professional recognition for their contributions to student education. You can apply for Associate Fellowship, Fellowship or Senior Fellowship and the next submission deadline is in January – attend a PRiSE introduction session to find out more. The first session is 27 September, but further dates are available. Accredited by Advance HE, PRiSE has recently undergone some changes to align with the revised Professional Standards Framework.   

Teaching, Innovation and Practice in Student Education (TIPS) Café  

Join the TIPS Community to register for an online event taking place from 1-2pm on 21 September. It’s your chance to say hello to new and existing members ahead of the new academic year. TIPS provides a space for collaborative learning for all teaching colleagues at Leeds. Find peer support, advice and ideas for your teaching practice.  

Policy Engagement Kickstart programme  

Book your place on the autumn Policy Engagement Kickstart programme. It takes place in person on 24 October, 7 November, 21 November and 5 December. Aimed at researchers and research support staff, it will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to engage with policy makers. The winter Policy Engagement Kickstart programme will run online from February 2024 and is available to book now.   

Register | Active Listening Workshop 
10-11am, 5 October 

Sign up for an online workshop to explore and experience how active listening can enhance your academic personal tutoring practice. Refine your active listening skills and explore listening from different perspectives. 

Applications for the University-wide Mentoring Scheme   

Applications are now open again for the University-wide mentoring scheme following some recent enhancements. Available to all colleagues, you can apply to be a mentor or mentee at any time with matching taking place in November and May. The scheme allows colleagues to share knowledge and skills with others, supporting them to achieve their individual objectives.
