Apply | LITE Fellowships
Applications are still open for the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) Fellowships starting in September. Fellowships provide the opportunity for colleagues across the University to carry out a student education-related project based on innovative teaching, service development, scholarship or pedagogy. The closing date for all applications is 30 June.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) workshops
You can still sign up for a series of pilot EDI workshops, hosted by the Equality and Inclusion Unit and Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL). They include a general introduction to EDI and a session on trans awareness in higher education. There are three events running in July and participant feedback will be used to inform future training opportunities.
Aurora leadership development programme
Submit your application for the 2023/24 Aurora programme by 14 July. Aurora is a leadership development programme for women (including non-binary and transgender colleagues) in grade 6-8 roles. Delegates will explore several leadership themes and skills through a mix of sessions involving guest speakers, mentoring, self-directed study and more. Springboard Development Programme
Applications are now open for the September-December 2023 Springboard Development Programme. It’s designed specifically for the personal and professional development of women in grade 2-4 roles, and covers topics including improving self-confidence, being more proactive, goal setting, identifying your values, networking, effective communication and assertiveness.
Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA)
Find out more about the CMDA during an online event on 17 July and hear from existing students about their experiences. The CMDA strengthens the leadership and management skills of new and existing managers and focuses on the theory and practice of management. Expand your knowledge of fundamental business concepts, such as project management, business finance and marketing. Course fees are paid by the University and the deadline for applications is 1 October.
Introduction to academic personal tutoring
Sign up for the next introduction to academic personal tutoring session on 19 July, designed for those new to the role at Leeds. The workshop will look at key aspects of academic personal tutoring, such as the boundaries of the role, referrals and facilitating a sense of belonging. There are further sessions scheduled for September and October.
