Upgrade to Student Record System

DVC: Student Education Professor Jeff Grabill and COO Rachel Brealey write to inform staff of the update to the University's Student Record System, Banner.

Dear colleague,
We are delighted to confirm that the essential upgrades to our Student Record System have been implemented and we are now live.  
We were also successful in moving the system to the Cloud, which provides the University with a more secure and stable platform.  
We are aware of some issues that still need to be addressed. We’re working to rectify these in a prioritised manner, based on business need. Please review the list of issues we are working on for more details and updates.   
If you experience an issue with Banner that is NOT covered in this link, please contact the IT Service Desk (https://it.leeds.ac.uk) as soon possible.  If the issue is already listed, you do not need to take further action.  This link will be updated as and when issues are resolved.   
Please be mindful that colleagues involved and impacted by the issues may be faced with time-sensitive, business-critical challenges and additional workload. Therefore, we would like to ask for kindness, consideration and patience during this time. 
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their hard work, dedication and expertise in making this happen. It’s been a challenging time for many different reasons, but your thoroughness, diligence and teamwork has helped demonstrate why the University of Leeds has its stellar global reputation. As a university, we continually strive for progress and encourage change, and this essential upgrade is one tangible way we’re demonstrating to our students our promise to provide an enhanced digital experience and to equip our colleagues with better tools.
