Academic personal tutoring workshops

Sign up for an introduction to academic personal tutoring, designed for those new to the role at Leeds. The workshop will look at key aspects of academic personal tutoring, such as the boundaries of the role, referrals and facilitating a sense of belonging. There are sessions available on 12 July and 19 July and further sessions are scheduled for September and October.

PebblePad drop-in sessions

Register for upcoming virtual drop-in sessions to find out more about PebblePad. Hosted by Patricia Quinn from Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL), they will demonstrate how PebblePad can support teaching and personal and professional development. Various dates are available throughout June.

Introduction to LinkedIn Learning 

Join OD&PL for a virtual event to find out more about LinkedIn Learning. Running from 10.30-11.30am on 6 July, the session is designed specifically for colleagues working in roles graded two to five. It will explore how to get the most out of their free LinkedIn Learning account which all University of Leeds staff have access to. 

Career Development Programme (Grades 2-5)

Read an article about OD&PL’s career development programme for staff in grade two to five roles, ahead of it next running in July. Find out what the programme covers, how it can support you to develop your career and hear about the experiences from previous participants who have completed the course. 

Pedagogies in Physical Spaces 

Sign up for an event exploring how to adapt pedagogical approaches in different physical teaching spaces to engage students and promote active learning and reflection. The on-campus event on 21 June from 2-4pm is hosted by the TIPS Community and OD&PL – sign up by 5pm on 16 June. 

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Workshops

Sign up for a series of pilot EDI workshops, hosted by the Equality & Inclusion Unit and OD&PL. They include a general introduction to EDI and a session on trans awareness in higher education. There are several events running in June and July and participant feedback will be used to inform future training opportunities.
