Employee survey I Collaborating to put action plans into place
Organisational Learning Partner Sam Crossley outlines available support to ensure feedback from the current employee engagement survey really counts by translating results into localised action plans.
I have long-standing, 28-year relationship with the University of Leeds as a student, postgraduate, alumni, teaching academic and, more recently, through professional services, where I engage with a broad range of stakeholders to bring about positive change for staff and students. I’m an active leadership researcher with a focus on dialogue as the foundation for mobilising change and care within complex systems.
I work within the Organisational Learning and Professional Practice Team at Leeds, which provides development support to staff, strategic initiatives, programmes, faculties and services across the University.
I’m a member of the Employee Engagement working group responsible for supporting the local Action Group Leads by creating the conditions for learning and collaborating on understanding the survey results and action planning. I will work closely with the Action Group Leads within your faculties, schools and services to ensure your feedback counts.
By understanding the results, we can identify what are centralised actions that require a University-wide approach, and what are decentralised actions that can be worked through locally. Through forming a community of inquiry, Action Group Leads will be invited to share experiences, raise awareness of good working practices and build a knowledge network of initiatives underway. Together we can address local challenges and open up the spaces for change.
