Katie Clegg (was McGuire), Deputy Director of the Sustainability Service has recently returned from maternity leave and will be the main point of contact for the service in the meantime.

Lynda leaves behind a strong Sustainability Service team who will continue to support the Facilities Directorate and wider University with their sustainability commitments whilst a suitable replacement is found.

Lynda joined the University in 2021 as Interim Director of the Sustainability Service and we’d like to thank her for the excellent contribution she has made to the University in the time that she has been with us.

Lynda has played an active role in the University’s Climate Plan and has been instrumental in enabling the new waste management contract – furthering our ambition to transition to a circular economy, sharing, reusing and recycling existing materials as long as possible to cut down waste and pollution.

If you need help making sustainable changes, would like to volunteer some of your time or want to do some sustainable research on campus, the Sustainability Service is there to help.

You can register to volunteer on the Sustainability Service’s website, or check out some of their events, like the Gair Wood tree planting project, on eventbrite.
