Tim Lee

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the recent death of Tim Lee, former Technician in the Faculty of Biological Studies.

Tim started working in Department of Anatomy as a Histology Technician in November 1977. When Anatomy merged with Human Biology, he worked in teaching and helped run the 3rd project laboratory. Human Biology merged with Pharmacology and Physiology to form the School of Biomedical Sciences, where Tim used his extensive expertise and knowledge of Histology and Microscopy. Latterly he was appointed as the Faculty Histology Facility Technician where he worked in the Neurophysiology research laboratory until his retirement in January 2020. He was very popular amongst students and research staff alike, due to his wit and easy-going nature.
 
The funeral service will be held at 1.45pm on Thursday 27 October 2022 at Lawnswood Crematorium, Otley Road, Adel, LS16 6AH, followed by drinks at Beck and Call, Stainbeck Road, Meanwood, LS7 2NP. The flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in Tim’s memory on the day of the funeral.
