Emeritus Professor Stan Openshaw
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on Thursday 19 May 2022, of Emeritus Professor Stan Openshaw.
Stan was former Professor of Human Geography in the School of Geography from 1992, until he retired following a major stroke in March 1999.
A funeral service will be held on Monday 13 June at 11.45am at St Paul's Masbrough, 139 Kimberworth Road, Rotherham S61 1AH, followed by burial at Burncross Cemetery, 237 Burncross Road, Chapeltown, Sheffield S35 1DJ at 1pm.
The wake will be in the Manor Suite at Mercure Tankersley Manor hotel, Church Lane, Tankersley, Barnsley S75 3DQ from 1.45pm.
