The invasion of Ukraine by Russia has led to queries from staff about the continuation of current University-Russia collaboration links. The University is responding to Government guidance on sanctions, and that of Universities UK (UUK) on Managing risks in internationalisation: Security related issues. This is alongside the heightened scrutiny of international collaborations more broadly and, in particular, at this critical time, those relating to collaborations with Russian entities.

UUK is also in discussion with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy regarding related UK science, research, technology & innovation funding and keeping universities updated on any changes.

Further information will be shared when it becomes available.

Guidance and support for international colleagues is available on our HR website.
