Closing this Friday – Check and challenge our new draft values

Our new draft values and behaviours framework is now available to review, in the return of The Big Leeds Conversation.

The Big Leeds Conversation article. July 2021

In July, our University community came together in The Big Leeds Conversation. We discussed what behaviours we should expect of each other, what we enjoy about working at Leeds, and how we can become a university that’s led by its values.

More than 3,000 staff, students and postgraduate researchers took part. Watch this short animation to find out how our draft values and behaviours have been inspired by almost 54,000 ideas, comments and votes from our University community.

Review our new draft values

On Monday 1 November, all staff, students and postgraduate researchers will receive an email from our independent partners, Clever Together, with a unique link to review our draft values framework.

The survey can be accessed from any internet-connected device, and you will have the opportunity to have your say on what is strong, wrong, or missing across each of our five draft values – including the 15 behaviours that underpin them.

The email will come from thebigleedsconversation@clevertogether.com, so please check your clutter folder if it does not reach your inbox. If you have problems accessing our draft values framework, or you do not receive your email by the end of Monday 1 November, please email the Clever Together support team

The final phase of The Big Leeds Conversation closes on Friday 12 November and is your last opportunity to check and challenge the values that will guide us into the next decade and beyond.

We have come a long way to collaboratively create our draft values, and the final process of refining them is a community effort. So please take this unique opportunity to feedback your views and help make the University a truly values-led institution that builds a positive, fairer future for all.
