Steve Marren
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on Friday 10 September 2021, of Steve Marren, who formerly worked in IT.
Steve was appointed in 1977, working in various roles within IT, but most will remember him in his last role working in the IT workshop.
After taking early retirement in 2010, Steve worked as a volunteer for a military charity. Here he helped armed forces veterans and their families, a passion brought about by his long service in the Army Cadet Force.
Steve is survived by his wife, Ann, and children, Lucy and Dave.
The funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday 29 September at Pontefract Crematorium, on which day the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in his memory.
In Steve’s memory, a JustGiving page has been set up to raise funds for the Prince of Wales Hospice.
