Carolyn Jackson

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 31 January 2021, of Mrs Carolyn Jackson, a former member of the support staff in the Secretariat.

Following an initial stint working in the Planning Office, and a career break to have her two children, Carolyn spent almost fifteen years in the Secretariat, where she was an integral part of the support for meetings of the Senate and other governance matters.

Towards the end of her career she was involved in the early days of dealing with Data Subject Access Requests.

She was incredibly organised, meticulous, generous of spirit and always willing to lend a hand, and she was much missed when she retired at the end of 2010.

The private funeral service will be held at 10.30am on 26 February 2021 at Rawdon Crematorium, on which day the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in her memory.
