Event | Digital transformation at Leeds

Do you know what digital transformation is – and what it means for research, student education and our ways of working, and how it can enrich your work?

University colleagues using digital technology.

**This event is now fully booked, but we will be recording the event and we will share this on For Staff and through eNews.**

All colleagues are invited to register for ‘Digital transformation at Leeds’, an interactive online event which will take place on Tuesday 8 December, from 10.30am until 11.30am.

The session will explore the meaning of digital transformation and how it will impact every part of the University’s community.

You will hear from Professor Neil Morris (Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Digital Transformation) and colleagues across research, student education and professional services about what digital transformation means for our culture, people, processes, technology and impact.

A new digital transformation strategy will form part of the University’s 10-year strategy, and be key to our core businesses of education and research.

It will aim to enable the University to capitalise on the latest digital technologies, so we can enrich students’ education, undertake cutting-edge research to solve global challenges, and make our ways of working and office processes better.

The event will look at:

  • What is digital transformation and why do we need it?
  • How a new strategy can support the University of Leeds to become a global example of successful digital transformation across research and student education.
  • Examples of where digital technologies have already improved the way we work, teach or conduct research.

You will also have the chance to ask your questions on digital transformation.

This event is now fully booked booked, but you can register for our waitlist, and we’ll email you if a space becomes available.

When you register, you may be prompted to login to Microsoft Office; please use your usual University login details. This session has limited numbers, but we will be recording the event and we will share this on For Staff and through eNews.

This session is part of a new series of events called ‘Leeds conversations’ where colleagues can discover more about our key strategic priorities and activities from University leaders.
