Register now for virtual International Medieval Congress

Registrations for this year’s International Medieval Congress (IMC) are open, with the event to be held through the new University of Leeds app.

The International Medieval Congress moves online for 2020

An academic peruses a medieval book. June 2020.

More than 2,000 people have already signed up for the free festivities, with a host of activities lined up.

Nearly 180 academic sessions are scheduled to take place when the event runs between Monday 6 and Friday 10 July.

Despite going online this year, the IMC will still also feature a host of performances, exhibitions and other medieval-themed activities – even the bookfair is part of the programme!

Instead of taking over Parkinson Court, the app-based virtual bookfair will feature a wide range of academic publishers from across medieval studies, including some exclusive discounts on titles for IMC delegates.

The app will also provide opportunities to connect with the event’s local craft and marketplace stalls online, as well as browse a wide variety of hand-crafted and medieval-inspired items.

Colleagues can see a full programme of events on the IMC website.

Registration via the IMC website closes on Friday 26 June, with details of how to access the event app and all the IMC content to be sent to registered delegates a few days before the event begins.
