Balancing Life Survey 2020

You can now take part in the Sport and Physical Activity Service’s (SPA) Balancing Life Survey 2020.

The Balancing Life Survey 2020 is now open

The annual survey is about sport and current levels of physical activity of both staff and students.

Of course, things are quite different this year due to coronavirus (covid-19) – gyms and leisure centres are currently closed and there’s more of an emphasis on exercising at home or outdoors. This is an opportunity to see how social distancing measures and a period of being told to ‘stay home’ have impacted upon your habits and attitudes towards physical activity.

The survey also aims to explore what impact current conditions may have on future behaviour and attitudes towards physical activity, as well as its wider impacts, and how other lifestyle factors, like sleep and nutrition, may have been affected.

And the survey provides staff and students with the opportunity to have their say on what else the University could do to help their physical health, which ultimately helps shape future initiatives from SPA.

The survey, which is open until Sunday 7 June, should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Wellbeing, Safety and Health will also be issuing a further survey in the coming weeks to see how things have changed since publishing results of its last staff wellbeing questionnaire on 14 May.
