Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the recent death of Susannah Rastall, Administrator at the Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements (FAAM).
Alan Woolley, Head of FAAM, has provided the following tribute:
"Susannah worked as a University of Leeds employee at the Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements in Bedfordshire from the summer of 2014, where she quickly became central to anything that needed organising.
"In her role as Facility Administrator Susannah worked hard at helping to plan FAAMs overseas deployments, arranging logistics and travel for the project teams that travelled with the aircraft, including university researchers, the FAAM team, aircrew and ground staff.
"Susannahs work was integral to the success of many of these overseas projects and she loved to travel herself outside of work. She spoke often and with great warmth about her family of whom she was very proud, and as a resident of Bedford for some years, she also always knew the best places to go out.
"The FAAM team all relied on her calm and expert manner at work, and during her brave battle with illness she remained extremely committed to the work of the facility and to her colleagues. Susannah was a hugely popular member of FAAM staff, was kind and generous, and was fun to work with. We will all miss her greatly."Posted in: Obituaries
