Following the hugely successful partnership with Great Food at Leeds (GFAL) – the University’s catering service – in the Laidlaw Library, the national chain is replacing the Waterside Café on Level Six of the Roger Stevens Building and the Business School Café in the Maurice Keyworth Building.

The Roger Stevens outlet opened its doors this morning (Friday 17 January), offering staff a ten per cent discount on production of their University ID. Opening hours are 8am to 9pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 5pm on Fridays.

LUBS café is due to follow suit on Monday 3 February. Until then, GFAL will be providing a Tuk Tuk coffee cart in the Maurice Keyworth foyer, selling barista coffee, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes. LOMA Express in the Charles Thackrah Building will also be open, providing a range of grab-and-go products, including specialist coffee by craft roasters Darkwoods. There’s also a small seating area in the foyer if you fancy staying a little longer.

GFAL will be working with contractors to minimise any disruptions throughout the Business School Café refurbishment.
