USS pension: joint talks on future of scheme
Member and employer representatives are set to meet USS at January talks facilitated by the chair of the Joint Expert Panel (JEP), Joanne Segars.
University and College Union (UCU) and Universities UK (UUK) will meet USS at talks to take place early in the new year.
Joanne Segars, chair of the JEP will facilitate and senior members of the three organisations will attend.
The JEP's recent second report made a series of recommendations concerning the governance of USS, the 2020 valuation methodology, and the scheme’s sustainability. It also called for a series of meetings between the scheme’s stakeholders to look to the future.
Dates have been set for five initial meetings between 15 and 29 January 2020.
