Take a break from your desk and get more active in a safe, social and friendly environment with the latest entry-level Couch to 5K programme.
Hosted by Get Out, Get Active, the programme is open to all staff and students. It also supports the launch of our new strategy for Sport and Physical Activity (SPA), entitled Do What Moves You, which aims to make Leeds the best university for being active.
With the expert support of qualified run leaders, you will be guided through an eight-week running programme. This will culminate in a chip-timed 5K graduation run at the Leeds 5K series on Wednesday 25 March.

Run leaders, who were awarded the Health and Wellbeing Champions accolade at the prestigious Vice-Chancellors Awards for Health and Safety 2019, develop sessions so they are flexible and sensitive to individual needs.
The programme, beginning on Tuesday 4 February, involves weekly lunchtime coached sessions combining running, jogging and walking to help you progress and build up your fitness. Theres an option to begin in the second session on Tuesday 11 February if you're unable to make the first date.
The cost of the course is £20, which includes entry into the chip-timed 5K run. Book your place now.
