Annual Review 2018-2019 published. December 2019

It is designed to give readers a short and accessible summary of highlights at the University during the past year, as well as a sense of the scale of our ambition for the future.

The publication reflects our overarching objective to provide all our students with an outstanding education and experience while, at the same time, undertaking cutting-edge research of high quality, impact and significance.

It also highlights the unprecedented investments we are making to recruit and retain exceptionally talented people, and to ensure our facilities, equipment and campus infrastructure are amongst the best in the world.

For the first time this year, the Annual Review is published solely online, as part of the ambitious steps we are taking to support the global transition to a low carbon and more sustainable future.

Vice-Chancellor, Sir Alan Langlands, said: “I am pleased to share our Annual Review 2018-2019 with you.

“This focuses on how we embed student education in a research-led environment, enriching the student experience and promoting interdisciplinarity.

“It also showcases the key achievements of our University year and is a tribute to the commitment, creativity and hard work by students and staff.

“I hope you enjoy reading it and wish you all the very best for the year ahead.”
