Prepare for Minerva downtime

Minerva will be unavailable from 12 noon on Friday 13 December until 3pm on Tuesday 17 December. Find out how to prepare and the changes you may need to make to assessment deadlines.

In October we shared with you some of the challenges Minerva has faced and the steps we will be taking to bring the underlying technology up to date.

In order to carry out that work, Minerva will be unavailable to staff and students from 12 noon on Friday 13 December to 3pm on Tuesday 17 December.

We have carefully considered the timing and impact of this downtime. While it is understood that it is still term time, teaching and assessment is planned over this period and there are coursework deadlines, it is nevertheless the optimal time to undertake this vital work which will stabilise and sustain our core teaching and learning system.

During the downtime period an assessment pause will be in place and colleagues are being asked replan deadlines, online tests and webinars around this period.
