Celebrating inspiring staff and students
Nominations have opened for awards celebrating staff and students who have gone the extra mile to improve the lives of colleagues or classmates.

The Vice-Chancellors Awards for Health and Safety 2019 recognise and reward the exceptional inspiration, dedication and achievement of staff and students in health and safety, and in health and wellbeing, at the University.
Last held in 2017, the winner of the VCs own personal award will also win £250 in gift vouchers.
Awards include the:
- Vice-Chancellors Award for Health and Safety, chosen by the VC as the most inspiring entry this year.
- Wellbeing Safety and Health Special Recognition awards selected on each applications own merits to recognise people who have shown dedication, inspiration, (preferably sustainable) achievement and/or gone the extra mile for health and safety (above and beyond what would normally be expected of them in their role); and
- University Health and Wellbeing Achievement Award, for people who have made the greatest impact on health and wellbeing in their area.
Nominate a colleague or student who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for health and safety or wellbeing
Nominations can be submitted by completing the application form and sending it to the Wellbeing, Safety and Health team by Monday 21 October 2019 (or by post to: The Vice-Chancellors Awards for Health and Safety 2019, Wellbeing Safety and Health, 5-9 Willow Terrace).
