The Parkinson Building lit up in rainbow colours to promote previous LGBT+ events

Rainbow Parkinson to celebrate LGBT month February 2018

Leeds Pride takes place across the city on Sunday 4 August, and we will be flying the rainbow flag and lighting up our buildings to show our support for the event.

If you would like to join the Leeds Pride parade, members of the Faculty of Engineering – in conjunction with our LGBT+ Staff Network – are marching with partners from across the construction industry. With the help of their rainbow digger, they will be highlighting the Building Equality Network.

You don’t need to be from Engineering or a member of the LGBT+ Network to attend Leeds Pride. Everyone is welcome – the more the merrier!

The day starts with a sparkling brunch at 10.30am at the Womble Bond Dickinson offices, 1 Whitehall Riverside, followed by the parade in the afternoon, meeting at 1pm in Millennium Square.

Sign up to join the parade with us using the password Pride2019 or contact Heather Swinsco for further information.

The Staff LGBT Network is for all colleagues who identify as LGBT+, as well as friends and allies. PhD students who identify as LGBT+ are also welcome to join.

Follow the Network on Twitter or Facebook for all the latest news.
