2019-20 Pay: consultation outcome and next steps
Unions have rejected the employers’ final offer on pay for 2019-20 and are entering the dispute resolution procedure.
Following consultation with their committees and/or membership on the final offer for 2019-20 pay, our three recognised unions - UNISON, Unite, and UCU - have all invoked the New JNCHES dispute resolution procedure.
Dispute resolution meetings are expected to be held between unions and UCEA in the second half of July.
UCU has already announced plans to conduct a ballot during September and October for industrial action (strike action and action short of strike) over the 2019-20 pay offer.
