Now in its third year, the staff Healthy Week is a great opportunity to try something new, get active and remind ourselves to take time out from our often stressful and busy lives.
Building on the success of previous years, this years event has a refreshed focus; the five ways to wellbeing. These include connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give. The programme has been built around these five principles, so if you arent keen on body pump or Pilates, there are many other ways for you to get involved.
For a taster of what the week is all about, make sure to pop along to the launch fair in Parkinson Court on Monday 17 June from noon to 2pm. There will be lots of stalls from different departments across campus, plus mini mindfulness sessions and even yoga in the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery!
The Health and Wellbeing Team is keen to keep the enthusiasm and momentum going after Healthy Week, and encourage every week to be a healthy week! If you enjoy one of the activities you try during the week, why not make it a regular thing?
If you do get involved, make sure to tweet any photos you take using #healthyweekhero or #wellbeingwizard and tag @UniLeedsStaff to share what you get up to we would love to hear about it!Posted in: University news
