Brian Scott
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the sudden death, on 4 February 2019, of Brian Scott, former Head of Maintenance and Operations in Estates Services.
Brian joined the University in March 1990 as Building Maintenance Manager in the then Works and Services Division. He was later promoted to Head of Maintenance and Operations in the Estates Services Directorate and retired in February 2004. He made a significant contribution to the upgrading of the University Estate during his period of office and was highly regarded for his professional and personal qualities both within the University and externally.
The funeral service will be held at 12.20pm on Monday 4 March 2019 at York Crematorium, Bishopthorpe Road, Middlethorpe, York, YO23 2QD, on which day the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in Brian’s memory.
