Professor John Trinick

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 15 January 2019, of John Trinick, Professor of Animal Cell Biology.

John came to the University in 1997. He had a wide range of continuing research interests across biochemistry and biophysics, with a particular focus on the applications of imaging by electron microscopy to understand the contraction and relaxation of muscle.

The funeral service will take place on at 11.40am on Monday 28 January at Skipton Crematorium, The Gatehouse, Walton Wray Cemetery, Carleton Road, Skipton, BD23 3BT. There will be a wake afterwards at The Craven Arms, Appletreewick at 12.30pm. Transport between the crematorium and the venue will be available for those who require it.

The flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast on 28 January, and an obituary is being prepared.
