Christmas is coming! Looking for that unique hand-made gift for a special someone?

The art of quilling paper has been around for hundreds of years. It is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art.

In this workshop, you will learn the beautiful art of quilling and leave with your own quilled card or Christmas decoration. All tools will be provided.

Marbling on Fabric Workshop – £45
Monday 3 December 2018, 5 to 7pm

Marbling is an art that makes beautiful designs and patterns on a variety of materials. Why not give fabric a go?

In this marbling workshop, you'll use pure silk or pure cotton fabrics to design your own beautiful patterned fabric, which can be used for scarves, cushions, ties, tote bags or lampshades – wherever your imagination takes you.

Ebru marbling is not only fun and exciting, it is also very therapeutic. All participants will learn the history of Ebru marbling on paper.

Equipment and materials will be supplied.

Handmade earth colours and pigment colours are sprinkled using handmade brushes made of rose stalks with horsehair, on the surface of special thickened water in a trough. The floating pattern is taken off on paper after being reshaped and retouched using pins, needles and combs.

Equipment and materials will be supplied.
