EU colleague: Career trajectory survey

The Department for Education want to hear about your experiences as a EU, EEA and/or Swiss national working in higher education.

To help understand the real experiences, challenges and support needs of non-UK European national colleagues working in higher education, the Department of Education (DfE) have developed a short survey.

We are supporting the research by providing you with a link to the survey, however taking part is entirely voluntary, no one at the University will see your individual response and we will not know who has taken part.

The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete and will help the DfE build a picture of the career pathways of colleagues in technical, professional, support and academic roles.

You will be asked about:

  • When and why you decided to come to the UK
  • Your current role (and your previous job and first job in UK HE, for those with longer careers)
  • Your reflections on your work and career in the UK
  • How you feel about working in the UK and plans for the future.

You can access the survey by clicking here

Please note: This survey is about your experience of working in and/or building a career in the UK HE sector. It is not part of the EU Settlement Scheme pilot that the government is running in the HE sector. The answers that you provide in our survey are anonymous and will not be used to make any decisions about settled status applications.
