Maureen Mundy

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 5 October 2018, of Maureen Mundy, former Administrator in Security.

Maureen was appointed as Administrative Supervisor at the University in July 2003. Her role entailed the supervision and co-ordination of all administrative functions for Security, including correspondence, data management, filing systems and compliance records to name a few. Her new role here followed a life-time of work in Administration, which began at Jacob Kramer’s College in the 70’s, followed by stints at John Odea Ltd, Cee Me Gardening and Taurus Leather.

Maureen took early retirement from the University in May 2016.  Maureen was a consummate professional in her role at all times, paying great attention to detail. Her pleasant friendly manner endeared her to all Security staff and other colleagues who came into contact with her.

Maureen leaves behind her husband Chris, daughter Becky, son Alex and two young adored grand-children, Stanley and Emma.

The funeral service will be held at 12.20pm on Thursday 25 October at Lawnswood Crematorium Otley Road, Adel, LS16 8AA.  A collection plate will be available on the day in lieu of flowers. Anyone wishing to attend the funeral service should contact Malcolm Dawson.

Arrangements have been made for the flag to be flown at half-mast on 25 October.
