Research staff open meeting

Organisational Development & Professional Learning (OD&PL) is holding an open meeting for research staff to have a say on their career development support.

The Early-Career Researcher Development Steering Group (ECRDSG), chaired by Professor Claire Honess, Dean of Postgraduate Research Studies, oversees the training and development of research staff across the University.

Earlier last year, OD&PL ran the Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS), as part of its ongoing commitment to support the development of research staff. Responses have now been analysed and summarised into an infographic and a report. Having reviewed the findings and made several recommendations, OD&PL now needs your input.

An open meeting for research staff with Professor Claire Honess will be held on Thursday 18 October between 2 and 4pm. This is your opportunity to learn about what the ECRDSG is doing, and to have your say on what else could be done to assist research staff. Discussion will focus on the findings of the report, the areas addressed, how researchers are currently supported and plans for the next few years.

Register now, as spaces are limited.

Please include any questions or topics you would like to be addressed in the registration page. This will be collected and grouped into themes to help guide the discussion.

Contact Dr Emma Spary FHEA if you have any questions about the report or the meeting.
