Springboard Programme

The deadline is approaching to apply for the LOGIK Centre’s development programme for women on staff grades two to four.

The Springboard programme encourages women to take stock of their strengths and achievements and build on them; identify weaknesses and turn them into strengths, and develop enough confidence to make things happen through topics such as:

  • understanding yourself
  • identifying your values
  • confidence building
  • setting goals
  • network & support
  • assertiveness
  • work-life balance; and
  • more energy, less anxiety.

Participants will be provided with a workbook and will be asked to work through the chapters during three months. This is both thought-provoking and fun, and needs to happen to get the most out of the programme.

Participants will also attend four compulsory, highly participative, supportive and lively one-day workshops.

Throughout Springboard, participants will have support from the tutor and from one another, and will hear the life and work stories of four invited guest speakers, who are usually members of University staff.

Email the LOGIK Centre for an application form to secure a place at the programme, returning it to the LOGIK Centre at 5-7 Lifton Place.

The deadline for applying is Wednesday 22 August 2018.

Places will be limited to 16 and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
