Call made for #SEC2019 papers

Details have been announced about how staff can get involved in next year’s Student Education Conference (SEC).

Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) is inviting contributions for #SEC2019, which will explore Learning Spaces as its theme.

The event, which takes place on campus on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 January 2019, will examine the many arenas in which students can learn and develop, create and collaborate, forge partnerships with communities, cross thresholds or take risks.

Such spaces are found within the curriculum, in lecture theatres, on campus or online. They can be safe spaces, spaces in the local or global community, or sites of student belonging and co-creation.

LITE interim director, Kelvin Tapley, said: “If you have been involved in a project initiative or programme design that has stretched what Learning Spaces means within your school or unit, or how you enhance student education through the use of technology, then we would like to hear from you.”

A comprehensive list of sub-themes for #SEC2019 is available on the LITE website, along with details of how you can submit your abstract.

Please contact Stephanie Stones via email or by calling x33186 if you would like to talk informally about your abstract and how best to align it to the theme or any of the sub-themes.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Monday 10 September 2018.
