International recognition for Leeds Professor

Professor Peter Buckley OBE has been nominated for an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration by the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK).

The Professor of International Business at Leeds University Business School (LUBS), is one of eight Global PhD Supervisors in The Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration at the OUHK. Through this role, he helps provide valuable insight, experience and knowledge in conducting research study.

Professor Buckley says: “I am delighted and honoured to be nominated for an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration by the Open University of Hong Kong. 

“This is a part of the world to which I have devoted a great deal of my research career and it remains of vital importance to global wellbeing. I shall relish being reacquainted with the vibrant atmosphere of Hong Kong.”

This is the second such accolade in 2018 for Professor Buckley, who was awarded an Honorary Degree of Laws at Carleton University in Canada earlier this year.

He is due to receive his latest award in December.
