Take part in National Inclusion Week 2018

The Equality Policy Unit are searching for colleagues who have ideas for events to help celebrate National Inclusion Week 24 – 30 September.

The University is joining in with celebrations of National Inclusion Week for the second year.

The Week aims to celebrate our distinctively international and diverse staff and student community and raise awareness of our work and the wide range of initiatives we have on offer.

Our involvement is in support of our vision that the University is ‘a beacon of excellence for Equality and Inclusion in the higher education sector.’ We value your support in making this week a success.

National Inclusion Week is an annual campaign run by Inclusive Employers to raise awareness of the importance of inclusion in the workplace and highlight the business benefits to having a diverse and included workforce. This year's theme is about renewing commitment to Everyday Inclusion – taking the opportunity to live our lives through an inclusion lens and embed inclusion in everything we do.

We are planning a range of activities, partnering with our city organisations for the week and would like to hear from colleagues who have ideas for events, seminars and practical sessions to contribute.

Please email k.griffith@leeds.ac.uk in the Equality Policy Unit with your ideas or if you would like more information about National Inclusion Week. Details of the programme will be circulated later.
