Council vacancies

The University is seeking applications and nominations to the lay membership of its governing body, the Council, for 2018-19 and beyond.

Lay members are neither employees nor students of the University.

This includes corporate leadership, audit and risk management, commerce, retail and other customer-focused sectors, human resources and change management, compliance and regulation (including health and safety), manufacturing and technology, the law, health, education, the public sector, the charitable and not-for-profit sectors, strategy development, sustainability and communications and the media. In particular on this occasion, the University is seeking expertise in estates and infrastructure, IT and IT security, accountancy and audit skills, although candidates with other experience should not be deterred from applying as strong applications will be considered for future appointments. Whilst most Council members are resident in the Leeds region, this is not a prerequisite.

Applications/nominations submitted for appointment to the Council may also be considered for membership of the Court.

Further information is available on the following page:
leeds.ac.uk/secretariat/council.html or, alternatively, contact Helen Pickersgill in the Secretariat via email or call 0113 343 4036.

Please note that the closing date is 29 May.
