Professor Peter Dew
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 26 April 2018, of Professor Peter Dew, former Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computing.
Peter was appointed as Lecturer 1973, Senior Lecturer in 1986 and Professor in 1988. He retired in 2012.
The funeral service will take place at 12.20pm on Monday 14 May 2018 at Rawdon Crematorium, Leeds Road, Rawdon, LS19 6JP. There will be refreshments afterwards in the Jacobean Suite at Weetwood Hall, Otley Rd, Leeds LS16 5PS.
Donations to celebrate Pete’s life can be made to St Gemma’s Hospice, who provided exceptional care, expertise and support to both Peter and Carreen.
The flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast on the day of the funeral in Peter’s memory, and an obituary is being prepared.
