LITE Interim Director announced
Dr Kelvin Tapley has been appointed Interim Director of the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE).

Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to announce that Dr Kelvin Tapley has been appointed Interim Director of the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) taking effect immediately.
Kelvins brief will be to build on the excellent foundations established by Dr Raphael Hallett, and also evaluate and refresh LITEs key activities and outputs as they align to University strategy. To this end, he has already started having conversations with colleagues and affiliates around the University.
Kelvin brings a wealth of experience in Student Education leadership, innovation and teaching scholarship to this role. He was Pro Dean for Student Education in MaPS, chaired the Student Education Bulletin and Conference Committee (a role to which he now returns as Interim Director), was heavily involved with the Leeds Curriculum project and has participated in numerous assessment and inclusivity projects. He is also a Principal Fellow of the HEA and, at the time of his appointment, was partially seconded to LITE to undertake a one-year research Fellowship.
I would like to congratulate Kelvin on his new appointment and welcome him to his new role. I hope you will join me in wishing him every success.
Best wishes,
Tom
