A taste of Yorkshire
The Refectory is dishing up a Yorkshire themed menu 30 April – 6 May 2018 in celebration of the Tour de Yorkshire.

Yorkshire is well-known for providing the finest local produce in the country, including delicious cheeses from the Yorkshire Dales, mature grass-fed beef from North Rigton, and fresh free range eggs from Sinderby.
Bringing together our values of high-quality sources ingredients, sustainability and value for money, Great Food at Leeds will be offering Yorkshire themed meals all week.

Monday 30 April
Nidderdale reared Barnsley style lamb chop with mint and rosemary butter
Ampleforth apple and fat rascal crumble with old English custard
Tuesday 1 May
East Coast fresh mackerel and Whitby smokehouse haddock fishcake, with a caper and lemon mayonnaise.
Yorkshire curd and golden sultana tart with rosewater cream
Wednesday 2 May
Sand Hutton grown asparagus, Wensleydale cheese and Thirsk spinach frittata
Wakefield rhubarb and raspberry roly poly
Thursday 3 May
Gurkha chicken tikka masala, with locally sourced onion bhaji
Pontefract liquorice pannacotta with homemade cookie biscuit
Friday 4 May
Scarborough cod deep fried in John Smith's flavoured batter (batter without alcohol will also be available) with chips and mushy peas
Yorkshire produced double cream and vanilla rice pudding with local Hedgerow berry compote
Saturday 5 May
Helperby beetroot, squash and pea filo pastry roll with homemade sweet potato chutney
Red berry trifle pots
Sunday 6 May
Roast topside of Yorkshire reared beef with Thirsk grown herbed Yorkshire pudding
Sticky date and ginger parkin with treacle sauce.
