Free Brexit information session

A free information session is being staged on Tuesday 10 April for University staff who may be concerned or have queries about the effect of Brexit on immigration matters.

Emma Brooksbank, partner and immigration specialist at Freeths Solicitors, will be visiting campus from 10-11.30am to update staff and answer general queries.

The session will cover the current Brexit situation for European nationals and their family members in the UK and how the position is anticipated to change in the coming years. Emma will focus on permanent residence applications and applications to naturalise as a British Citizen, as well as the proposal from government relating to settled status. This will include the practicalities of making an application and key areas of difficulty.

The session is designed to leave room for discussion and there will be ample time at the end for questions.

You can register for the session on the Eventbrite website.

Please note Emma will not be able to give advice on individual cases at these sessions. However, one-to-one meetings are available, free of charge, with her or a colleague. Contact Lisa Courtney for details if you're interested in booking a personal meeting.
